Born on 8th December 1976 in Galatzi, Romania: son to Ovidiu Dumitru Ciocan, professor of Machine Constructing Engineering to Polytechnic University “Blue Danube” Galatzi, and to Lucica Ciocan, dental technician, master in ceramics technology. After completing elementary and secondary school (8 years) at “Dimitrie Cuclin” Music School – Piano Class, I attended the “Vasile Alecsandri” lyceum, Galatzi, ROMANIA for 4 years, and then the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” in Bucharest, Faculty of Dental Medicine till 2002. In the faculty I was a Student Researcher, Propedeutics and Dental Materials Department (1998-2003), and the General Secretary of Student Department of National Union of Stomatological Association from Romania (UNAS) (2001-2002).
After graduation I have won one of the principals’ positions to the residency exam, so I was able to choose to complete my specialization in Oral Surgery for the next 3 years.
After graduation (from February 2003) I was selected to work as a Professor Assistant in the Dental Technology and Dental Materials Department of Dental Medicine Faculty, “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest, Romania.
From October 2003 I have been taken a Master in “Biomaterials” to the Department of Bioengineering and Biotechnology, Faculty of Materials Science, Politechnical Institute, Bucharest.
